The STA® Series of tubular solenoids has been expanded to offer a miniature solenoid (1/2 in. length by 1/2 in. diameter) configuration that runs quietly and reliably in both office environments and more demanding applications.
Like the rest of the STA series, the miniature solenoids feature a solid construction technique that utilizes a low-friction nylon bobbin, thus assuring quiet operation and a long life of at least 25 million cycles. The metal-to-plastic bearing surface also eliminates problems associated with powdered metal flaking in conventional tubular solenoids.
The miniature solenoids uses a UL approved Class B, 130 degree C insulation system. For higher temperature applications for the miniature solenoid UL-approved Class H, 180 degree C insulation systems are available.
Miniature Open Frame Solenoids
The Dormeyer® B16 and B17 miniature solenoids are among the smallest on the market today. The B17 measures less than one inch square and can still generate forces of more than 25 ounces. Watch for our new C-5 miniature solenoid coming soon that will measure 0.75 x 0.4 inches and will be available in standard and magnetic latching versions.
